1916 May Joined Volunteers

1916 May, He was arrested and sent to Frongoch Internment Camp

1918, he was elected Commander of the Seventh Battalion, 3rd Tipperary Brigade

1919 and 1920 he took part in the capture and burning of Drangan Barracks where, with Breen, , Hogan , Robinson, and Treacy he accepted the British surrender.

1920 Jul 2. He organised the ambush at Newtown Cross on 2 July, 1920 where an RIC sergeant was killed.

1920 Oct 31. Shot in Killenaule (there does not appear to be a death certificate)

He led a group of his men into Killenaule, with the objective of shooting the British Sentry/a particular British Officer. However they were ambushed by the British in the town. The British must have been expecting them. I suspect that how the British found out that that IRA were about to attack, is why this Inquiry is Secret
