There were large numbers of (usually) men shot as spies. They can have been shot for a variety, some justified, some not. But either way it is difficult to afirm from the perspective of hindsight, who were spies, who were informers and who was unjustly shot.
A number of "missing" lists were published in 1921.

1920 Oct 25 7111306 Private James/John Boyle, Royal Irish Regiment a new recruit claimed to have been kidnapped in Waterford and to have escaped after 3 or 4 weeks. Discharged to H.M. Prison, Guernsey 1921 July 15 convicted by civil powers at Cork
1921 Feb 23 . Donald McDonnell shot and wounded in Evergreen Road, Cork. McDonnell was brought to the barracks, and when he got alright again he used to come out in an armoured car, patrol the streets and pick out the Volunteers and have them arrested. He also went out at night with the raiding parties dressed in a British Officer's uniform. Had served as 75139 AM3 (Cadet) Donald McDonnell, Royal Flying Corps

1921 March 8/10. John Good aged 35 employed at Cork Military Barracks Cork as a clerk shot and seriously wounded at 5.30pm in the back left shoulder while walking home on Tower Street. (Served as 19803 Private John McInerney Good, 10th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force)

John Sherlock employed at Military Barracks as a lorry driver shot and wounded on way to work in Cork (Served as 4169 Guardsman John Sherlock, Irish Guards discharged 8 April 1919). Moved to London in July 1922.
